April 24th, 2008 marks the 93rd anniversary of the beginning of the Armenian Genocide. 1.5 million Armenians were murdered by the Ottomon Turkish Government in the first genocide of the 20th century. Because of the lack of recognition and outrage, it was not the last holocaust of the century or of this century. May God bless the memory of those who perished, who we are trying to honor through our music, and may the 21st century bring closure and recognition of the tragedy, a tragedy which affects all Armenians still.
